Views about CPE students

Views from Class of 2005

A cardiac patient like Bob develops a large belly due to collection of fluids. They must be carried for mobility – taking weight was such a case for him. He found such support from the CPE students. He also had this to say:

“I feel lifted up in my heart when you carry me for weighing. It is very difficult to go to the toilet on my own yet with your help, the pain is managed.

Harriet Mwika (12) expressed that the help the CPE student render makes her not miss home very much. “I feel almost at home.”

“No one visits me except yourselves and I feel so happy each time you come … don’t stop please.” Bed-ridden Aaron (26)

Having been neglected by her husband and children, the 55 year old lady could not undergo an operation as her blood pressure was constantly high. The CPE students brought comfort and healing over her brokenness and two weeks later her blood pressure stabilized and under went the operation. This is what she had to say:

“I’ve realised that spiritual healing comes before any physical healing indeed. …..It is comforting to have you people around when am in pain, it gives me hope that God cares.
