Theatre Assistance

Some of us have a chance to help out in the operation rooms and hence get familiarized on what goes on in Theatres.

Last Offices

As we encounter death, we prepare the deceased for last offices (mortuaries). We do this with Christian dignity and respect for the deceased.

Simple Observations

We help nurses with simple clinical works such as observing temperatures, heart pulse and blood pressures.

Cleaning

We extend our services by providing a clean recovery environment to patients by cleaning the hospital wards. We also bath the very sick patients. We also make patients beds, change wet bed sheets, damp dusting patients lockers.

Porters of Patients

We escort patients to radiology laboratories and other examinations departments.

Health Education

As we interact with patients and their care givers, we give them basic health tips.

Other Weekly activities

Every week on Thursdays, we recollect ourselves with Mass in the UTH Chapel. In as far as we may recognize that we may get too busy during the week, we never forget the Lord of works.

Besides the weekly Mass, we also take time to reflect on our experiences during the week. Our motto states: “Our patients may not remember us or what we have done for them but always how we made them feel” This weekly theological reflection makes us become aware of God in our places of work.
