HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO OUR POPE BENEDICT XVI

In 2003, an Oblate Student in Rome wrote to the then, OMI Zambia Delegation

Superior, Fr Ron Carignan: “Today, as I was walking towards the Vatica ticanRadio to visit a Zambian working there, I met Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger around 16.00hrs. He was going to his office, in the Vatican…A white-haired old Romancollar.. I greeted him and we shook hands. We talked and he asked me some questions:

Are you a Priest? What is the name of your country?

I told him an Oblate Scholastic from Zambia...and came to Rome three months

ago to study Theology. We talked for a few minutes.

So much about a man who might become the next Pope or at least who will

influence the Election of the next Pope in the coming consistory”( It was Br David Chibanda; he is no longer in the Congregation)

On April 19th, 2006, The Pope said he cannot do the Job alone; he seeks prayers to be Gentle and Firm Pastor.
